The Shirley Basin in Wyoming produced more than 51 million pounds of uranium from the 1960s through the 1990s. Two of Strathmore’s three projects, Agate and Night Owl, sit within it. Other companies active in the area include Cameco, enCore Energy, Uranium Energy Corp and Ur-Energy, which is a reasonable indication of how the district is regarded.
